I watched "Water" last night.
It was very good...phrasing that still in some places in India if the husband dies, the widow is only half alive!! and if is not burned with husband,the only way to go to heaven is denying a normal life and never marry again or having any kind of relationship with a man....
This is dramatic...how a group of widows are forced to live and survive in a temple in the Holy city of Varanasi by holy Ganga river...some of them are brought there when they were 7 or 9!!!
Deepa Mehta,the director, is admirable...
